On a Savage, I rode from South of Tulsa to Manhattan Kansas, about 450 miles. I rode it twice, (up and back on a seperate day each time), the second time with a buddy who rode an '87 Harley Softail. The Savage had no problems, the Harley broke down a couple times.... Not to suggest that the Savage is a better bike (I don't really care), but that it can hang with the big boys. (BTW, I am 5'10" and about 200 lbs.)
As to the next bike, I'm leaning towards a Triumph Bonneville America.
